when i start up my softmodded xbox it starts like a normal xbox should but when it gets to the part were the unleashed x sign so pose to be it turns all black and i cant do any thing. Please help if i can fix it. my friend has the same problem but we dont know how to fix it.
Ok, I'm going to ask a few questions: What exploit/version did you use to softmod? Can you load regular games? Can you boot copied games? Do you get any error message at all? Can you load the regular MS dash (turning on the Xbox by the eject button)?
1.i used 007 AUF to softmod 2.I can load regular games. But i have to put the game in the drive turn off my xbox and turn it back on so it can load the game. 3.no cant boot copied games 4.no error messages. When i turn my xbox on it starts up like normal then goes strait to a black screen but i cant do anything/ 5.no i cant go to any dashboards.
I also have the exact same problem except i get the XBOX screen with the microsoft label underneath it...I am also looking for a way to fix that i formatted the E drive like a dummy and now i don't know how to get it back on to the xbox or another solution...Please help me
Ok boot the game you used to softmod, and load the save. Then click "Restore MS" or something along those lines. It should work. If that doesn't work, then you will want to follow Chuckheads guide to formatting the hard drive. You will need to FTP the Eeprom file, and build the disk (it tells you how). well i only have a laptop computer, so i can't conect the computers that way also i noticed that i have the udata file for the xbox on my computer..But How would i put the files onto the xbox?? Can I in anyway compress the udata file into a ISo file and then install it that way??
I don't know, you would need a file explorer which is on the dash, but since you can't boot to the dash I don't think you can extract it. Anyways, you should be able to use a CAT5 crossover cable to FTP your PC and Xbox. You can then use the softmod menu to FTP, as it opens a connection. Why can't you connect them?
i Fixed it all i had to do is get the game and memory card i used to softmod it and it gave me an option to remove it so i did and it turned everything back to normal and then i softmoded it and everything is still there.
