ok i bought this mobo http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc...de=M&Product_Code=110257&Category_Code=AMD939 and i bought this psu http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc...de=M&Product_Code=100963&Category_Code=ps-500 ok heres my question the mobo has 24 pin power the psu has 20 pin what can i do and do i have to return the psu and get one with 24 pin power
yeah,I think your going to have to return the psu and get a 24 pin.I liked the psu though nice color matches my case.
shouldn't but not certain as never used that adapter before. as long as it uses all the primary wires like power good, +/- 3,5,12volts, ground & some others it should work. get 1 & compare to your existing computer psu connector
http://www.xoxide.com/tt-psu-adaptor-cables.html http://www.xoxide.com/ultra-x-connect-24-pin-power-kit-uv-blue.html here are the 2 im lookin at i dont believe i need the 4 to 8 pin adaper though but its cheeper for both on the other hand the ultra x one is made by same peeps that make my psu
# 1 x SLI selector card connector # 3 x USB 2.0 connector supports additional 6 USB 2.0 ports # 1 x IEEE1394 connectors # 1 x Paraller connector # 1 x COM connector # 1 x GAME/MIDI connector # CPU Fan / 2x Chassis Fan/ Power Fan/ Chipset Fan connectors # Front panel audio connector # Chassis Intrusion connector # CD audio-in connector # 24-pin ATX Power connector # 4-pin ATX 12V Power connector
i presume that 24pin is actually a 20 # 24-pin ATX Power connector?? if the blue adapter is the same color as the other power cables than go for it
