greeting all, i think im out of luck with my miniDV cam ( sony DCR-HC20). It appears that the pc wont recongize it when im trying to transfer through firewire. I can see the DVin icon on the cam's lcd when switched to video mode but nothing happens, pc nor program recognizes it. Thinking it was my pc i tried to plug it into my laptop via iLINK but the laptop nor the program that came pre-installed recognized the camcorder. USB works fine, i can plug it in and it detects right away but not firewire.. It worked before but i dont know what happen now, i havnt messed around with anything. I tired reseting the camcorder but no luck.
