i was just reading the first page of this, and i i have to say, country wise i love england. I live in a really nice part of southern yorkshire. in TINY peaceful village in rotherham town, great countryside, great views, clear air, things arnt over priced either, and theres no water shortage up where i live, where quite high up and to the north. . london is a total rip off (very dam expensive when i went with everything inc cost of living), u even get congestion charge because of the busyt roads :-S. that sux.

i love central london, not all of london but just the greater lond. i have seen a few cities and london for me is by far the best, but i have still not been to new york yet so....
it is very expensive, but for me personally everything fits, the people are normally a lot more multicultural, friendly, its a lot cleaner then other places in london and uk. and it combines old with new architecture extemely well whcih gives a great feel.

I gotta disagree (excpect its true that london is expensive). Ive been there quite a few times and I find the people extremely rude, they are quite ready to walk you off the pavement, and most bigger cities in UK aint clean.

Stuttgart (where i grew up) in germany is a hell of a city. MANY years ahead of britain in many aspects.

Anyone of you dudes been to Australia? Melbourne is a real pretty city at 5 in the morning after a night on the turps. My brother went to England for a 6 month stint at cricket with Cullingworth C.C. He loved it - and they went to Amsterdam after they won the season lol Bonus!! I've had offers to go over this Chistmas period, but there is no way I'll have the cash

it depends where you go, i work in central london, in a supermarket for part time work and i find them to be so much more polite then people who i meat where i live whcih is just outside london.

also i know most of eurpoe is cleaner then london thats a fact but two things; i live in a horible place, where houses cost half a million pounds but but are no larger than 3 bedrooms and the area is horibly dirty, so when i go to london (not the comercail places but places like kensington and holborn) i get very happy.
ok the second thing is that although london is dirty, expensive, i supose its what gives it its taste, if you can say that, lol, what i mean is that with the castle, the unique buildings, the history, the parks, the monarchy, and everything else which might not make london look great to someone wanting one specific thing but its a great over all place which has nearly everything a city can have. and i od not thin even places like new york or paris have.
