Sorry to say this but so far with the exception of the soft modding tutorial, all the rest of the tuts on this site are either incomplete or missing parts to them because I still have no idea why I cannot connect to Xlink-Kai:
If the guide was completed as the misleading topic says then I would be connected to Xlink-kai

The tut on this page here
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/329607

says to go on the site fore help on configuring your connection which is a bunch of BS because I asked on that site how to adn got banned for it.

As of right now, the only things I know are to:
    1) Download and install Xlink (Which is what I have)
    2) Have my x-box connected to my computer via a crossover cable
    3) Something about needing to use one of the XBMC skins

but thay's all I know and understand, I have no idea how to connect

    anyone care to explain this

    1) Already done!
    2) Read my networking tutorial, you need to have LAN connections already.
    3) The standard skin for XBMC (PM3) has the attached software found under 'My Programs', top left corner.

For instructions on how to use it after you have successfully networked, the http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ main site will explain how to use it.

Ok before I proceed with this any further I have to ask this:

    This is my set up:
I have my computer and X-Box connected via a crossover cable
and I have my modem connected to my computer using a USB wire?

Will this set up work, or do you absolutly have to have a router in order to get this to work?

No, just a connection will be fine!

Set up static addresses on either end, just like the tutorial. If you can FTP, then you have connection!

    ;)
