1. Is it possible to hook up and run my pc through my reciever? my computer sits only 6 feet from my computer... so there is no reason to go wireless if i don't have to.... but i could go wireless to the front room... 2. I recently bought a vewsonic Va1912wb monitor with a speaker built in... I also have 2 speakers and a sub hooked up to my PC... when i plug in the monitor there is not enough volume and certainly no bass... is there a way to use both (monitor plus 3 speakers) on my computer? or do i even need the speaker on the monitor hooked up... is sounds good right now... i just wanted to use the monitor if i could benift by doing so...
Its sound a bit confusing but here goes...U can easily output sound from ur pc to ur stereo but doing the opposite i cant say...u can grap a special cable that lets u do that like this... http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?product=253.
1. PC to Receiver Use this cable: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2&style= The 3.5mm stereo plug connects to your sound card and the 2 RCA plugs (red and white) go to audio inputs on your receiver. 2. Using monitor speakers and separate speakers simultaneously Connect this cable to your sound card: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...&cs_id=1021802&p_id=667&seq=1&format=2&style= This gives you 2 audio outputs so you can hook up both the monitor speakers and your separate speakers.
thanks for the info... i thought it might be as simple as this... but one time i tried to do my own thing with a car audio amp and fried the amp... didn't wanna do the same here.. ( I will save that story for another day) When i hook my computer up to fmy stereo i will use the same output i use now for my computer speakers ( green plug comming out of my sound card) or am i to use a different color output? thanks
