i want a ps3, help me!

i brought my xbox 360 in october and i want to exchange it for a ps3. i brought at bestbuy and i got the extended warranty. do u guys think i can exchange it for the ps3 and i will pay for the differance. i have all of my Receipt and paperwork

not sure if they will let you exchange it, but if i were you, I would sell the xbox 360 on eBay. My 6 months old xbox 360 was faulty and I still managed to sell it for $350 (Australian dollars).

 

Hey, I don't know the specifics, but after my buddy had the red ring of death, and then his elite went bad also, he returned it and paid the difference and got a PS3. (Which he loves by the way.)
They shouldn't give you any trouble but call and explain your situation first. Most of the time they'll be pretty cool about it and can help you out.

yeah deffently go ahead mate, i was sick of my xbox when it kept on getting the 3 rings of death!! i traded the exact one in for a ps3 and well apart from minor hicup its a beautiful and QUIET machine LOL

 

its because of people like u i dont buy things online u should
be ashamed of yourself selling crap to people that work hard for there money

 

ooo that was swift.. but he has got a point.. i mean mine was broke but they said they would fix it BEFORE it went bk on sale.

 

newcloud, first I completely agree with you that there are a lot of people who sell crap and falsely advertise. But don't include me with these people until you know the facts! I sold my xbox as "faulty xbox 360 console." I was completely honest when I advertised it and still got a good price for it despite the fact that they knew it was faulty. SO I AM NOT ASHAMED OF WHAT I HAVE DONE BECAUSE I TOLD THEM THAT THE XBOX CONSOLE WAS BROKEN. And there are plenty of people who are selling their "faulty xbox" on eBay, because there are people out there who are willing to put in the effort to fix it, but this is not me! This is why I sold the xbox and bought a PS3.

So please next time, know the facts and choose your words carefully before you make judgement (at least ask me how I sold it). Plus from what kream314 said, it seems that his console is still ok, which means he should be able to sell it for more than what I sold mine. So all i was offering was an alternative to swapping it.

 

if you had told the circumstances of your sale .comments would not appear .got a ps3 60 .what is the 3 rings of death that has been mentioned ?

 

tyler123, my understanding is that the 3 rings of death can be due to a design fault in the xbox that is caused by overheating of the system (do a search and I am sure you will find plenty of info). Mine did not get it but I knew it probably would (as games were freezing, and the console was restarting). Thus I sold it, now have a ps3, and am a lot happier...

 

ok im sorry u should have mentioned that.. you made it sound like u got away with selling faulty products
it just really annoys me when people sell faulty items

got a ps3 no need to look for faults with it .x box is another basket of sprouts .you saw the light and moved on .

 

ya more and more people ar starting to.. 3 of my friends have a ps3
1 has an xbox

 

I know what you mean about seeing the light... although I kind of miss playing dead rising and gears of war. But the consistency and relative quietness of the PS3 has definitely won me over...

 

You won't go wrong with a PS3. I speak from personal experience, they make way less noise. I can barely fall asleep with the Xbox 360 on anywhere near me.
