I am using Sony Vegas to create photo and video slideshows, rendering in the preferred way to use in DVD Architect (MPEG-2 for DVD Architect Option). I have also tried just MPEG-2 and AVI. When I let DVD Architect author the DVD, the quality is not what I want.

First I tried other Authoring programs, (Adobe Encore, etc). I knew it should do better if not the same. It was the same. The actual video I make is perfect. During previewing before authoring it is great. Watching from the DVD it is bad.

The problem is that anything light colored blends in with anything white. There is not a white balance option anywhere. Also the pictures I use for the menus are 300 pixels per inch quality, but from the DVD they look hazy and blurred.

I tried Ulead CD & DVD Pictureshow, because I want to make these a lot faster. I like the format of it better. I can do everything I want in about 3 minutes and let it make and burn for 30 min. Sony Vegas/Architect and Adobe Encore would take me hours for the initial quality I want. The problem here is Ulead does the same thing to my final DVD.

    Where is my problem?

Looking over all of my troubleshooting, cost of the software is not what fixes it. I need software that will make a picture slideshow with video and custom menus with QUALITY, just with the ease and time saving way Ulead does.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Premiere Pro has alot of advanced Picture quality options for white balance, etc....they are advanced topics.. You could try Rendering your slideshow with it.
