I have used VSO to convert, then I use nero to burn, but they wont play in DVD or Ps2, What do I do to get the disc to play?
And what do use to burn, CD-R or DVD-R, And what do I select to burn on nero. When I convert, It turns into a VIDEO_TS... Please explain the process, Thanks...

I don't know much about creating dvd's as I finally just got a dvd burner. I do know a lot about vcd's. The format your talking about is something you can burn with nero and it is for dvd's

    Dear chllywill,

    1) You use VSO to convert videos into dvd compliant format (i.e. with video_ts folder) for to burn to dvds.

    2) You need to check your dvd player to see whether it's compatible with dvd-r or dvd+r or both.

    3) What brand of discs are you using?

I use Memorex DVD-R 120 4.7 GB, are those ok... so the Dvd player has to be compatible??? Please go step by step... What should I Convert the file too? What format?

    1) For compatible dvds, consult the manual of your dvd player.

    2) After converting with VSO, try play the movie from harddisk by selecting the 'video_ts.ifo' file. If it plays o.k., then the conversion has been successful, and you only have the final burning to worry about.

    3) Memorex appears to be a bit controversial. Some like it, some are having problems with it all the time. So after checking whether the conversion is sucessful, the next thing might be to try a different brand of media.

    Good luck!

Here's how i convert mpegs and avi's to dvd:

Convert with VSO divx to dvd

Then open the Video_ts. folder it makes with DVD Shrink (can be downloaded here freely)

And let shrink burn the result with Nero or DVD Decrypter

I've done this a few times, works in my regular dvd as well as my ps2.

One hint though, use better media like Verbatim, Ritek, or Taiyo Yuden.
Those Memorex pieces of sh*t will ony wear down your laser.
