Hi, I'm a long time user of Afterdawn as a reference and resource, but I only just now registered to use the forums. I'm fairly into security (I'm the kind of guy who reminds people that it's important to update their AV programs, etc.) but I tend to be lazy when it comes to actually taking care of my own computers. I like to think of myself as a fairly safe user, but a recent scare with "Trust Cleaner" (actually still resolving that, using instructions from bleepingcomputer.com) got me thinking I should probably check up on my computers' health. Right now I'm scanning on my desktop, so I figured I would post my laptop's HjT log, and my desktop's later. I'd appreciate any expert advice, thanks in advance! Hello mrasmus, Both logs are clean. If your having symptoms or suspect malware, run ActiveScan. Save the results. If it finds anything and you need help ridding, just post the results.
Thanks a ton, I thought they might be. Panda detected a bunch of cookie trackers (nothing too bad) so I flushed my cookies, and they of course would detect my tools like Cain. Figures. Thanks for the help, I think I actually found the source of the original Trust Cleaner infection, and that's taken care of. Just kinda got me paranoid (I don't run nearly as many Anti-malware programs as I probably should, but I think I make up for it with safe habits. I'm just far too picky to have a plethora of scanners bogging down my system. Such is the life of a gamer...
