my daughter put a password on her laptop and now we cannot get onto it,we have tryed removing the cmos battery which hasnt worked and i was reading the ibm manual and it says about the dimm socket and shorting the power on password jumper pad r522 does anyone know how to do this?any help would be appreciated.thanks in advanced
Both things you mentioned the cmos and then jumper dont apply to the password setting on windows, it applies to password settings on the BIOS. I have a program that i use in my computer tech shop, but its licensed to me and i cant be giving it out, basically it will crack the password and set it to 12345. So bring it to a tech shop and see if they have the same software. My other suggestion is at the windows user account log in where the usernames all are, hit Ctrl Alt Delete all at the same time 2-3 times and see if you can type in administrator and admin in the username and password box, that should let you in as an admin and then you can just change her password to what ever she wants. but if you disabled this ademin account it wont work and youll ahve to bring it to a shop.
