Hello from a new member, and thanks for reading this question.

Is there something wrong with my iBook G4? While watching a DVD or listening to .mp3 files, I have to turn the sound up all the way to comfortably listen to the audio. The audio sounds OK, just at what seems to be a low volume. I tried to use the Sound icon in System preferences and adjust the volume there, and also on the toolbar at the top of the screen. It just doesn't seem to be loud enough. Doesn't seem to make a difference whether it is on battery or AC power. Is it just me? Does anyone else experience the same symptom?

    System is as follows:

    iBook G4 1.2GHz
    HDD: 30GB
    Optical:CD-RW/DVD
Memory 256MB (Soon to be upgraded to 1.25GB

Any assistance would be appreciated, as I am a new VERY SATISFIED Mac user, and hope to continue this. I also have two G3 CRT units, one 700MHz and one 600MHz. Love them, too!

I have noticed that my MacBooks sound is very quit, so it could be just because the internal speakers are so small! I could be wrong though! Have you tried the sound adjust in the application running? iTunes and QuickTime both have a sound adjust feature that is separate from the system volume!

    Welcome to aD
