    I'm finding a lot of my mp3 files with a series of seemingly meaningless numbers in the comment section (e.g. 00000133 00000114 0000079E 0000063E 0002BF37 0002BF37 00003283 00003300 0005CC60 000445D7).

Where does this come from and what does it mean?

Thanks for your knowledge (tried to find elsewhere in the forum, but was unable to).

i've gotten downloaded albums like that too. it is either from the group that ripped the cd, or it might be the CD code for the freedB info

hmm - well, I edited a number of these comments in the ID3 tags to delete this meaningless garble. Some of the tags remained empty after I deleted the info, and other tags came back repeatedly after having been deleted.

    Strange.
