IMPORTANT!: this is all based on theory and may be NOT WORK! by FACT! its only a IDEA that may or may not work based on imformation gained.

Please put in information as to why it wont work and what can be done!?

Else its a useless theory that SHOULD BE IGNORED!

Ideas to help boot without a MODCHIP!:

    To Copy Xbox games:
take out Xbox DVD drive IDE and plug it to your PC and insert your Xbox game and copy to you PC's HDD.

    Copy games to Xbox HDD:
Your PC has 2 IDE so take out you xbox HDD and plug to you PC IDE and boot you PC then it should recongnise HDD on most windows platform and copy those games from PC HDD onto Xbox HDD (on any partition with space, mainly E patitions has a large storage).

    Install EVOX:
while PC connected to XBOX HDD; copy C: patitions of XBOX as backup to PC HDD and replace files in XBOX HDD C: with EVOX files. delete the defualt xbox loader (msxboxdash.xbe)and rename the EVOX loader as the Xbox loader. install a loader or a executor example program called: Xcomander.
to help boot any xbe files.

    Play the game:
Put all the parts of xbox back and boot the console.
Evox Menu may appear and select xcomander and boot the XBE of the game that you stored on xbox HDD and FINISHED!

now you've played a game without a MODCHIP and copied those games!

very much agreed Dank, people spend more time and effort trying to get around a chip, when they really just need to realize it's the xbox they are trying to get around, and use the proper tools to do it, like a chip!

Couldn't agree more. XBOX chips can be bought for as little as £10 (around $16) and can be fitted in 15 mins by anyone who has a resonable level of soldering skills. Why the hell would anyone waste time trying to get around it when it is so cheap and easy.
