Hello. I have been using lots of programs on windows for burning my family videos from my Mini Dv camera and in order to burn the video on Dvd, the video looses quality because you have to convert it to Mpeg. But I recently used the latest verion of IDVD on my mac and when it burned my videos the quality was the same as the original tape and it fit about 2 hours of video on to a dvd. That is the only programI found that does that. Why can Idvd do that and most of the other programs dont do that. Is there a program for windows that can do what Idvd can? Thank you

Is IDVD available for PC or just Mac? I'm looking for exactly the same quality to use Mini DV footage as game film for my soccer team. Is it easy to get from the raw Mini DV tape footage to the DVD media?

I used Ulead version 9 for creating DVD formats, and it came out perfect when converting my mini-dv's, plus they have a 30-day free trial period. I believe they now have version 10 out, but I haven't used it yet.

I tried the trial version but it won't run because they left out some needed codecs. I tried tech support but they told me to buy the missing codecs from them. What kind of free trial requires you buy the software first? Any idea how to get the actual free trial version? Thanks!

I didn't need any codecs when I ran Ulead ver. 9. They have a very good forum on that site, the people there are very helpful.

    Sorry I can't help more,
