hi when i try to download some software i get a notice that the file is in idx files.what are idf files and is there a way to do a download when u have thses idx files??thanks. benbernie

Think of bit torrent as a glorified peer to peer system. Whilst it is not P2P software, as far as the end user concerned it's a similar process. You download a .torrent file telling the client where to get the files from and it grabs them off of various people's computers by communicating with a tracker, such as thepiratebay (who I'm sure you'll have heard of). To get started, download uTorrent and then get your torrent file from your site of choice. I won't link you to specific sites as that wouldn't be lawful for downloading cooledit.
