Everytime i open internet explorer, it takes about 45 seconds for the page to load. Most times it comes up after about 30 seconds as 'not responding'. Wondering if anyone can help please? I run ccleaner and superantispyware regularly, but doesn't seem to help with this problem... if needed, i can post my HJT logfile.
    Thanks!

Just a thought have you cleaned all your cookies, done disc clean, up run check disk, and defragged, then download Windows Maliscious software removal tool, after that update your anti-virus program or install a new free one like AVIRA or run an online Scan at Windows Live Safety Scanner http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm, I would also after cleaning it up disable system restore so that any infection in those folders doesn't respawn.

Avira is a good antivirus that can run while you have another already installed just remember to remove it after your down using it so you don't create any major issues remember only one active antivirus should be installed at any one time but avira will work without you doing that as do online scans http://www.majorgeeks.com/AntiVir_Personal_Edition_7_d955.html

IE is still taking forever to load. Most often takes 2-3 mins, then followed by 'not responding'... Anyone out there with anymore ideas on what to do? I can post a HJT logfile if needed. Please and thank you

That is a good Idea to post the HJT log while I am not the best suited to read it others here are and you may get some better help. I have a question or two are you using IE7 or 8 and on what operating system XP or Vista. If you using 7 you can disable/reset all the add-ons to help with diagnosing the problem. Here is a link to MS knowlege base http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

My aunt had ie8 on xp it was a disaster I never could get to the root of the problem so we did system restore back to IE7 and everything was ok. There is an issue with installing IE8 on WinXP sp3 one of the updates in sp3 has to be installed after IE8 if you google IE8 errors on WinXP SP3 you get a multitude of various errors. I know there was something in the windows knowledge base but darn if I can find it now. I think zdnet was who first reported on it as I recieve their newsletter daily. I dunno why or if there is a fix for this out yet via windows update since I am using Vista EI8 has worked fine but I have warned all my customers on xp to stay away from it for awhile MS always has to patch things even thought they beta tested it for a couple of months MS never gets all the error reports fixed in time. Geez I love Microsoft.
