Whenever sites have embedded streaming video that use the mediaplayer active-x contol, the audio works but the video always looks like this: I've gone through many things to try and resolve this: re-installed mediaplaer 10 re-installed codecs from MS re-installed divx and xvid codecs This effects ALL video that use the mediaplayer control. If I can download the file it plays fine using the standalone player. But some sites make it a pain to download. Any ideas?
When you re-insatlled media player, did you uninstall first? Had a simalair problem earlier on a friends PC, uninstalled, downloaded and installed WMP11 and it worked a treat. Didn't work until I uninstalled first though.
