datajeam, You have MyWebSearch Trojan…. Do the following to rid it: Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune & save it to your desktop. DO NOT use yet. Please download and install SUPERAntiSpyware Free • Double-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe and use the default settings for installation. • An icon will be created on your desktop. Hello and thanks for the help. I ran through the recommendations you had. When I rebooted in normal mode and went to the View Log, nothing was there. About 10 seconds after attemping to look at the log, the web page appeared. Should I run the superantispyware again?
datajeam, Run through it agian and see what happens, SAS usually cleans up MyWebSearch real good.. I am at work tonight and don't have all my help fils on this new laptop. Please post a fresh HJT Log next time and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can. I work 15 hr shifts on the weekend and it is hard to work this stuff in. : ) LOL 2oG
It's always good practice to run AntiMalware products a couple of times, especially after it supposedly cleaned stuff the first time. I might also suggest running MalwareBytes AntiMalware as well. I find it good practice to run multiple scan using different software. One may pick up some items better than others.
