    Hi,

Since a while I'm getting problems opening certain url's that were perfectly allright before and to my knowledge nothng has changed in the IE settings.

Opening e.g. a page like "http://www.docentenbank.nl/" will cause 30 MB of memory to be allocated to IE together with 50% CPU time. Processor fan starts blazing, the IE window will freeze up and closing the window gives an error that the application is not responding. Sending an error report to microsoft didn't help much. Same for an url like "http://www.quickdump.com/files/group/"

Looks like the problem is getting worse as more and more sites are getting unreachable. Any idea how I can detect what is causing the problem. Could it be that special gif's or java-applets cause the problem? Any programs around to analyze these things ?

I'm using version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_grd.050301-1519 with Windows XP with SP2. What other data would be needed to analyze this further?

Please let me know, because not having access to some of the sites is really giving me problems.

    Thanks and greetings
    Bibi

Are any other programs doing this at all?
Try getting the new IE7Beta2 or using Firefox and see if the same thing happens?
