I have downloaded several iso/gcm files and burned them to mini dvdr's and could not get them to work, i'm new to this, I don't want to rip them just burn the iso/gcm file and get them to play.

Can anyone explain to me what must be done?

you'll need to rename the games you've downloaded from .gcm to .iso and then burn them using the option burn image file to disk...to rename the extension you'll need to go to tools folder options view and untick the option hide extension for known file types...
    hope this works for you...

I dont think .gcm is known filetype in windows by default...so extension should be visible...

In many badly ripped games, you need to use Wiped GCM fixer aka. fstfix(1.3f is best)
And you need to have good DVD brand(Ritek)

Do you have any modchip/softmod at all?

No, I don't. Do you have to have a modchip/softmod to run the games?

I don't have any experience with the softmods unfortunately, I have only tried it with a modchip.

I have made a little program, it has tutorial and all you need for softmod:

And there is possibility too to boot softmod from memorycard with Action Replay, but you need PSO to get files in memory card. Or you can use SD-card and Action Replay, but i dont know much about that.
