if i install new windows will that format my computer?

    i have vista right now and want to put windows 7 on but will i have to back up all my files before i do so? help is appreciated thanks!

    Yes it will delete all your files on the c: drive, unless your doing an upgrade. Either way download the free macrium relect and use that to backup your c: drive. It will backup everything on your c: drive.

    If you have more than one partition/drive, you can just move all the files to your data partition/drive.

    thanks for the reply, i have 2 western digital notebooks both with 320gb on so i will put all my files on them, then i will install the new windows :)
