Was just thinking, If I was UPC I wouldn't bother moving to Nagra 3 now.

The move to Nagra 2 has killed all boxes except for one. No fixes has shown up for the
others in weeks, so except for Kryptview owners the cable box scene is dead.

I am sure they pay licensing costs to Nagra for these encryption schemes and I am sure Nagra 2 is cheaper than 3.

So ok, eventually the other boxes might get fixes, eventually everyone might get a Kryptview. But they still have Nagra three in their arsenal, so why bother spending the money for now.
They can wait, let everyone who had a starview buy a kryptview and spend more money and then switch over when they are ready.

Maybe if upc didnt charge so much this problem wouldnt be happenig or if they let us choose what stations to watch as pay per channel instead of the packages they have, which most of the channels are rubbish. And charging a connecting fee just to plug a cable into a box .get the boat UPC and cope on

They are moving to nagra3 because if they didn't do it now they would end up having to do it in a year or so. If there is any box still working on the network you can be sure people would go out and get it.

They already have moved to Nagra 3, only reason N2 is present is so the DVRs can function until they get N3 cards.

Every box that recived a new card is running Nagra 3, which you should be aware of.
