my father in law just had old vhs put onto dvd, but on the end of one dvd he wants some stuff removed, he wants me to make copies for other family members. i was going to use win dvd vreator but that dosen't reconise vob/ifo but will avi, is there a programme that either converts fio/vob to avi or where i can load the dvd in and add chapters or edit it? cheers
for editing vob's, I only use videoredo. you can use the demo to edit a dvd. The program is frame accurate and also saves your completed edited movie without reencoding. The output is the same quality as the original. Your editing goes quick with this program. I've used it to edit a couple of dvd movies, so editing home dvd's will be no problem. I wouldn't bother converting the vob's to AVI just to edit, everytime you convert you loose quality, and the conversions can take hours to complete. http://www.videoredo.com/en/index.htm
