I just got an xbox 360 and im looking to ge ta better picture on my tv. From what i understand, 480p isnt actually HD, so will this work on a regular TV using a scart socket? The only inputs are an aerial port and two scart sockets. Im currently using composite video through a scart adapter, ive heard i can get a better picture using s-video, but is it worth buying the s-video cable? The AV channels on my TV are AV1, AV2, and AV2-S, so i assume that i can use s video through a scart adapter. If i switch to AV2-S while the xbox is plugged into AV2, i get a colored but somewhat blury picture. So can someone please explain the s-video thing to me? My DVD player has a scart to scart connection, and it looks even worse if i put it on AVS-2, does that just mean the dvd player doesnt support s-video or do i have to set it somehow?

I don't know anything about Euro tv connections. But I will say that if your not using a connection that is at least capable of reproducing Component Video quality picture then your wasting your time and money. S-Video isn't capable of 480p, only 480i. Composite video has this same limitation and is worse than S-Video.

Component Video is your only option for HD gaming and 480p reproduction!

    Learn about SCART (WikiPedia):

    Thats all I know,

Well im fairly sure that my tv isnt capable of 480p so nevermind about the component. But a scart to scart carries an s-video signal right? My dvd player and TV are connected scart to scart and if i switch my TV to the AV2-S channel the picture displays in color which i think means its receiving the signal because its not black and white. But on AV2S the picture is very noisy and fuzzy. if i switch to AV2 it works fine using composite i think. Anyone know what im talking about?
