had to reformat instaled all programs and when i put in nero it said that i had a illegal copy of nero ok, so my question is when i go to open nero it gives me this illegal copy of nero and closes the app, but when i use shrink to do my backups shrink works just fine so question is shrink uses nero burnning program so why does it work if it is a illegal copy? all input is welcome

What version of nero do you have and is it an OEM copy that came with the drive/pc?

Shrink is a ripping and compressing program, it is made to interface with other programs such as Nero, Decrypter and CopytoDVD to burn for ease of use. Since it is its own program it will still work if these programs are not present, it will just put the file on your HDD and you can then burn with any program you want.
