I keep reading through other posts to find a solution. I've used various dvd discs, uninstalled & reinstalled the drives, updated firmware, etc. to no availo. Every now & then I can get a suceesful burn, but most of the time it either acts as if I do not have a blank disc in the drive, or it starts burning & gets hung up & fails to burn, giving me the illegal disc error. If anyone can give me a clue by reading the error log, I would greatly appreciate it! Poor quality discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) Your burner doesnt like these discs. With good quality discs bump the burn speed up to 4X You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
