Hi, I am having problems with dvd shrink and nero, I bought this new computer in January, and everything worked well until approximately 3 weeks ago when I had a major crash. After setting it all back up again, I can now no longer get dvd shrink/ nero to burn dvds. I have read many of the threads and tried a variety of things to no avail. The cdrw works well if I burn using VSO DivxToDVD. I cannot resolve this problem myself and hope someone may be able to help me. I have wasted another disc just to get the error message, and would greatly appreciate any advice on offer. Hello. The burner isn't recognizing the media. There's a considerably newer firmware (KYS4) for your burner here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2097 Click on the firmware number to download to your computer and then double click the downloaded file. This is a driver for Roxio Easy CD Creator which may conflict with Nero's drivers.
