Hi Shaolyn Yes you can definitely use a firmware update - the latest is BSOY: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1934 May help with those 16x discs made by Ritek. That's one thing a firmware update does - teaches the new read/write strategies on newer media. Nero Version: 6.6.0.8 Nero can use an update to - update to 6.6.0.18. Here are some links. Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 (recode & vision) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Give that a go and let us know.
im not too sure how to use the Firmware Page.. lol.. my burner is BS0A, but there is no link to BS0A, do any of those work? or do i just press LtnRPC.. also, i found a site that may have the BS0A.. is this site legit?: http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html
Heres the direct link to your LATEST firmware BSOY http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/SOHW-1633S/firmware/DR16BS0Y.zip
Ohh okay, i thought Bs0A was the one i gotta look for, i didnt know it was just the original version.. i got it updated, and it works! thanks everyone
