I see several items: 1) [bold]CdRomPeripheral : _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off [/bold] Your drive is in PIO mode. This needs to be in DMA or UDMA. Go into device manager under IDE ATA/Atapi controllers. Click primary/advanced settings. Check the secondary as well.If it says PIO,click the driver tab/uninstall/and reboot. Windows should set this back to DMA or UDMA. http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/dvdguide005.html When you get 5 or so burn errors in a row, windows reverts the transfer mode to pio for safety purposes. Media quality usually the culprit. 2)[bold]Disc Manufacturer: TTH02 [/bold] TDK media. This media gives a lot of people issues.Try some verbatim or taiyo yuden. If none available, try maxell or sony-but make sure package says made in japan. 3)[bold]Burn process started at 2.4x (3.324 KB/s) [/bold] Bump that speed up to 4x.Get some quality media, bump it up to 8x. I'm not sure about your NEC,but some of these 16x writers perform better at a faster burn speed.Just make sure you have quality media. 4)[bold]Existing drivers: File 'Drivers\ADPU160M.SYS': Ver=v3.60a (Lab01_N(johnstra).010529-2218), size=101888 bytes, created 17/08/2001 22:07:32 File 'Drivers\ASPI32.SYS': Ver=4.71 (0002) built by: WinDDK, size=16512 bytes, created 21/12/2003 5:26:58 File 'Drivers\PXHELP20.SYS': Ver=2.03.32a, size=20640 bytes, created 06/04/2006 20:15:29 (Prassi/Veritas driver for win 2K) File 'Drivers\InCDfs.SYS': Ver=4, 3, 23, 2, size=102016 bytes, created 23/03/2006 17:15:58 (InCD4 driver for win NT/2K/XP) File 'Drivers\InCDpass.SYS': Ver=4, 3, 23, 2, size=29440 bytes, created 23/03/2006 17:15:56 (InCD4 driver for win NT/2K/XP) File 'Drivers\InCDrec.SYS': Ver=4, 3, 23, 2, size=8704 bytes, created 23/03/2006 17:00:28 (InCD4 driver for win NT/2K/XP)[/bold] Nero's INCD can give us problems. Uninstall nero. Then you want to download nero cleantool 6,run it,and load up nero again-but leave out INCD4 packets. Here's nero cleantool6: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/us/Nero_6_CleanTool.html
Everything as Saugmon says, but I would also go back to version 6.6.0.18 a much less buggier version than 6.6.1.4 as Shrink cannot direct burn to Nero with 6614. Get6.6.0.18 here: To Go Back To Nero 6.6.0.18 Write down your nero serial# and then uninstall version 6.6.1.4 from your system using the general cleantool found here: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html Next, download and install version 6.6.0.18 from the links provided, re-enter the serial# and you're good to go. nero version 6.6.0.18 updates: Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe And as Saugmon said don't install InCD.
Thank you both (Saugmon & garmoon), I did everything I could, - PIO problem resolved - Disc Manufacturer I'll try on Tuesday (last chance) - Burn process always started at Maximum on Nero - Nero's (and INCD) uninstalled. Nero cleantool6 done! But I couldn't download Nero 6.6.0.18 from the link you give. I have Package 1 and Package 2 waiting for Nero 6.6.0.18 downloading from emule but it's a bit slow. Does anyone know the right link because the one you post is http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm and it sends to Nero Burning ROM v7.2.7.0 Thank you again!
I have no problem with those links. I just connected to both. http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe both working on IE for my pc The clean tool gets you to Nero site but the actual link to 6.6.0.18 is valid and the dl window pops right up.
