illegal disk but firmware updated!

    heres the log i have already updated my firmware since i last had this problem so it doesnt make any sense

    first take out your registration # before anyone copies it! it starts with 5c80!
    doesn't like disk!
    recognizes disk but doesn't like it..... something might be wrong with that disk!
    is this an RW disk? rewriteable? somethings wrong why it won't use the disk....check that disk out! and/or try different media!

    these are high quality sony cd r+ i have been told that they are very good i dont think that is the problem...

    well there's your problem... your using CDs instead of DVDs! or do you mean DVD!

    have you used these disks before.... why would it burn at 2.4X when you updated your firmware to accept 16x disks!? are these old DVD disks?

    yes i have used these disks befor its burning at the slower speed because i selected that i thought maybe that was the problem was it was too fast

    most people burn at 4x-8x and even some higher! 2.4x is very low and it might give you too many PIO erros ...... go up to 4x, at least

    yes i know thats slow i usually burn at 8 and i still have the same problem tho :(
