I did a quick search to see if I could get some help but didn't find an answer to my stupid question. How does this ILO DVD recorder hookup? I got one (used) dvd04 model from a guy on craigslist. I got it home and I need to see if I got it connected right.

From the coax on the wall I put the cable into the input on the left of the ILO. Coax cable from the out on the ILO to the input on the TV. I also connected the red, yellow and white cables from the ILO to the TV.

Then when I turn on the unit, it comes on but I get no display of the ILO on the screen. VCR settings for cable in this area is channel 4. Still no display from the ILO.

What am I missing besides the money I spent on this?
(BTW, this is not digital TV)

I have an intruction booklet I can scan for you. I am having problems trying to get it to record movies that I have saved through my dishnetwork recorder. I can get my screen to come on just fine and it says it's recording but when I go to playback, it's blue screen and nothing else. Anyway, let me know if you want me to scan and email you the instructions for set up.

    Heres what you do.

Turn the tv too the input of the rca cables and it should work.

If that dont work go to walmart and get a converter box that should work.

Just remember Ilo is a piece of crap.

Using the RF in-put and I assume the RCA jacks [Yellow, red, White] to the TV. Make sure that the TV is selected to the input used
Make sure that the ilo signal source is the TV service. A set up would depend on the service ie Antenna, cable , satellite
If you had to set the VCR to ch 4 than do the same to the DVD. I assume that it takes the VCR place
