ilo dvdr04 drive is making a loud sound

    When I turn on the DVD recorder and the drive spins up it sounds like its going to explode. Think this is a sign that I need a new recorder? It still records okay but I am having a problem playing back DVDs that I have rented. They freeze up sometimes but play fine in my other players. Any ideas?
    BTW.. this is a hacked Ilo
