hi. (hope no one minds me not adding this to page 16 of the ilo dvd thread.)on three successive nights i recorded 3 separate disks (a,b,c), all the same brand dvd+r media) of 6 hour programming in 6 hour mode via timer. the disks all play(back) in the ilo. however, i wanted to copy the disks and when i attempted to finalize them, only disk b did, and was successfully copied and will play in my stand alone dvd player and on my computer. when i select "finalize" in the on-screen-menu (osm) for disks a and c, i get the graphic that shows replacing "disk 1" with "disk 2", and the text saying "change disk". i see nothing about this message in the manual. i tried several times with both disks and turned the machine off and on several times. any suggestions? mahalo!
thanks catfreak. i had already perused that forum and didn't see anything specific to the issue. now i know why! duh! and i also figured out why i got the "change disks" message... because the disks i was asking to be "finalized" ALREADY WERE! in my late night stupor last night (doing four things at once) i apparently had finalized all the disks, but only burned one copy. in the morning when i inserted the other two disks to be finalized, instead of a message saying something like "uh, we don't know what your excuse is, but this disk cannot be finalized because it already is finalized you moron!", it more politely, but without mentioning specifically why, just read "change disks". i apologize for suggesting there was a mystery where there was none. except for why can't i remember things anymore. all finalized. all copies burned. no problem, other than this brain. mahalo.
