ILO WARRANTY?

    My ILO player/recorder seems to record fine but won't finalize and won't play the disc just recorded. So called 800-939-0605 to get an RMA number and got the message

    "our phone and email support is currently not available."

    OBOY! Googled ILO in the news but no hits. Does anyone have any information?

    I have a LVW-5045 and had problems like yours, when I first started using it last year. Luckily I found this site and the DVD±R media forum. I soon realized that buying NAME BRAnd DVS's, meant nothing and the true meaning of coasters. I now use rewriteable disks as the price has gone down quit abit. They also do not need finaling, and can be reruse.

    I decided to just return it to store and get another. Magnavox this time. Will read the movies I recorded on ILO even without the finalize at the end.

    Thanks for your comments. The DVD/R's are almost used up. I'll give the DVD/R/RW a try.
