    Hey Community,

I'm really new to this sort of thing so can the more experienced members please bear with me on this, i mean no harm.

I was checking out this site and was very impressed with it all, the members, the setup, basically everything about this site is all good and i'm glad and honoured to be a member.

Now i've read through some various guides on this site with regards to burning DVDs etc but alas it's still going way over my head. Is there anyone out there who can explain all this in a way that is easy to understand and not too overwhelming.

Basically i want to back up most of my collection, how do i go about this, what software do i need and what are the processes.
I'm also enjoying bittorrents in the .avi format but is there any way at all to convert these to DVDs and again how do i do this.

I've downloaded some software form the site, DvD Shrink 3.2 and Dvd Decryptor. Ive opened up the applications but dont know what to do, how do i unlock the mysteries of these apps i have no clue what they do haha :))

Basically all i want to know is how to get quality Dvd's from the bitorrent sites and how to go about backing up my collection-for my own personal pleasure of course.

I went out and bought an LG multi burner that burns a whole manner of formats from dvd's to cd's so i'm hoping to start using these relatively soon and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks and take care
    fallon

For starters, try reading this thread and click on the links....

If you could, provide some computer specs such as: type of dvd writer, latest firmware version, brand/type of discs using, how much RAM you have, etc...
