Hallo, Even though I've been a computer addict for ages, I've downloaded a movie for the first time (DivX). I also downloaded the subtitles (.sub), but I have NO idea as to how do the two connect. The problem is, basically, that I'm completely clueless... Please help me! If someone could send me a link to an overdetailed guide about how to put subtitles into movies or explain it to me personally, I will be greatful forevermore! Thanks, P. Valand.
[bold]Before you try this I'm not making any guaranties I just tried it myself and it didn't work, maybe I have a bad srt file or maybe I'm just givingg bad info. proceed at own risk[/bold] First you need a program called VirtualDubMod, otherwise known as VDubMod, there is also a more basic version called VirtualDub which will work for your purpose, but if you have a choice get VDubMod you will get more mileage out of it. from now on I will refer to VDubMod as "VDM", Ok. Once you have VDM working on your PC open it. Click [bold]FILE> OPEN VIDEO FILE[/bold] *dialogue window opens* browse to the avi movie file and press [bold]OPEN[/bold] In the top menu bar, click on [bold]STREAMS> STREAM LIST[/bold] Then click [bold]ADD[/bold] browse to your subtitle file and press [bold]OPEN[/bold] than press [bold]OK[/bold], this should close the stream list window. take a deap breath, when your ready: Click on [bold]VIDEO> DIRECT STREAM COPY[/bold] (top of menu bar) Then [bold]FILE> SAVE AS[/bold] Name you file and save, you are done. If for some reason this doesn't work post back.
