Im so bored. I dont see my girl that often because she works 9-6 and then is so tired she ends up going to bed. On top of that, I tore the ligaments in the back of me right Knee so i cant go out either as i cant stand for more than 10mins without it hurting. On top of that again - i can no longer do my 4 days a week soccer training. Man i feel depressed :-(

Take heart, Oriphus. I have a pinched nerve and can't walk too well, have no girlfriend and I've been clinically depressed for the last 15 years. Feel any better?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]I never killed anybody that didn't deserve it.[/small]

Well, yes, it did make me feel a bit better. But now its made me feel a bit worse again for feeling sorry for myself when there are so many other people who are a lot worse off than me. :-(

IS this the same leg that you had problems in before? That is crazy man. I hope you take care of it this time. Well now you have more time to solve all the computer problems of the world. Write that book you always wanted and create a new religion to be the new god of the planet.

Really need to find the bright side of things man, Sorry future leader of the planet.

lol - cheers people. I doubt ill be a leader though he he he.

It is the same leg, but a different injury. Its a torn Cruciate ligament most likely, the specialist on Tuesday will know more. I could be out for around 6 months if it is as its pretty hard to heal it. If any of you are soccer fans, you will know that United star Roy Keane was out for a whole year with a Cruciate Ligament injury. He snapped his, mine i think is either torn or strained. Either way i wont be playing for a couple of weeks minimum. I just hope that i am still able to do the running machines so that when i make my comeback to the team, im still super fit.

    Here's to hoping........ :-D

During your time, if it's a prolonged period, DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT, get overly frustrated. I've broken my leg before, and I know how it feels when you can't really move and you are fusking frustrated at it. You practically go crazy with anger for like 5 minutes and then calm down. What I would do in this period is just do a lot of techy and couch potato stuff.

Yeah, i intend on looking after it properly untill i get through it. Im going to see a specialist today. Professor Cullen is his name and he is the sports doctor for the northern Ireland football team so im hoping he knows his stuff ;-)

Good luck with the doctors. Hopefully you don`t have any complications. I have a friend in the US, who hurt her foot in a marathon. She needed surgury and they screwed up. Now she can`t run at all. Hope all works out.

    Cheers.
I discovered the problems. Thankfully, they can all be sorted within the next 3 months with some physio and rehabilitation on the injuries. I had MedialTibial Stress Syndrom with Overpronated Gait on both my shins (shin splints). It turns out its the shape of my foot which is causing strain on the muscles and that needs corrected. The other thing is isnt ligament damage, its a hamstring problem in behind my knee. Apparently, the hamstring has been damaged at some point and never recovered. The muscle is weak (dont understand that because i have a really powerful kick) and needs physio for 6-8 weeks. Lastly, my left ankle has damage muscle and needs physio. It should be ok in 3 months. I can start training on the running machines today to get my fitness back and ill be back at training in 4 weeks with matches being a possibility by Christmas. Yeeha :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hey Oriphus, I read somewhere that copious amounts of Stella Artois does wonders for leg injuries. Samuel Smith's otmeal stout has really helped my back! Good luck on your recovery.

Not really - i play tennis during the summer for fun, play a bit of golf, fish the odd time, fly my stunt kite (once) and a bit of jogging here and there. Im like badmington and im quite good at table tennis. Im sure there are other sports i do (I used to swim for my county) but i cant think of them. Football is my main sport. I aim to be relatively fit within 6 weeks of 5 days a week gym work for the next 2 weeks, then back to training 4 days a week with a bit of gym work. Only problem is that the squad is quite full in the midfield and im an attacking midfielder. Im going to give it a go playing up front for a bit i think. Try the old shooting out. Generally i can blast them pretty hard (if they stay down) or chip and cross nicely. My aim is to be fitter than most so that i can out run them :)

Wow! I think collectively over the last ten years I've maybe run 3 km. I usually don't run unless the chorizo and egg burrito I ate catches up with me.

lol - Some are suited to fitness regimes and some are ;-)

If i wasnt able to play football, id find myself very bored very quickly. Im starting to up my pace slightly. I aim to have 4km a day now at around 16mins. Football coach was on the phone today wondering when i would be back, which is nice to see that im missed. Need to keep practising my shooting though incase im stuck as a forward...
