hey guys ive read all the threads and i have ISO and mds file of games i want to back up but i am making coasters galore! i must have made 30 at least and i am at breaking point! i have swap magic v3.3 and i know it works definatly. i have tried 4 differant kinds of media. 1.datawrite red 8xdvd+r 2.bulkpaq dvd-r 3.RiDisc Blue 8xdvd-r 4.RiDisc Purple 4xdvd-r but everytime either it starts to laod .i.e. the screen goes black or it just says not a valid ps2 disc. i have tried using dvddecrypter , nero and alcohol120. if anyone could give me any further assistance i will love them for ever more !!!!! thanks
have you tried cleaning the laser to see if that helps, also if you could try your backups in a mate's ps2 and see if they work in that then it let us know if the problem is with the backups or your ps2
I would also like to add, what speed do you burn at, i burn at x4 sometimes x2.4 always use TDK & Verbatim dvds(-r) and never really have problems.
you may just have a problem with the media you are using. i have really never heard much about any of those brands you are using. Try some Phillips, TDK or Ritek G04 Start out with a few small single or 5 packs.
