    1. What is the best and cheapest modchip that will work on all versions of the xbox? I would prefer a solderless

    2. What kind of hard drives can i use on the xbox, and are they easy to find( for example like in walmart)?

    3. I've heard you can rip the games to the hard drive. But can you just dump ISO files into the hard drive?

    Thanks in advance

    1. The cheapest way to mod an xbox is useing softmod instead of a modchip, sorry i use softmod so i carn't give you any advice on a modchip but if you want to know more about softmod search this site for tutorials there are really good ones already written.

    2. as far as i know any IDE hdd will work once you xbox is either softmodded or has a modchip installed (i just went and bought a 320 gig Western Digital from my local computer store and it works fine)

    3. once your xbox is modded, use a program called DVD2XBOX to copy games from a disc to your HDD and no not just ISO

You actually can't use any ide hdd. It would have to be able to be locked. If you buy a new hdd it will be lockable but if your using one that has been laying around for a few years check the eligibility with the list on xboxscene.
