I'm confused. What's the difference between saving a decrypted dvd to an image file or saving to the hard drive? Aren't they the same thing? Is it possible to read a dvd in one drive and burn on the fly with a dvd writer in 2nd drive using SHRINK to copydvd-9 to dvd-5

    wavegravy,

Sure if you are copying one backup to another blank disc -

OK, I'll bite, if you were copying from one drive to another drive - just where did you expect the work that DVD Shrink must do (ya know, the decryption of the encrypted files and the laying out of all the DVD's files so that they might by compressed to fit on a DVD-5 to take place, if you were "on the fly" ? Perhaps on your livingroom floor ??

(He,he - Ya gotta have a sense of humor to work here)

    ats a funny,
I'm glad i made you laugh.I just thought that instead of sending the files to hard drive after shrinkage, you could send to dvd burner.

I ask again, where are you going to "shrink" them if not on your HD -

I'm game, tell me where the work is going to be done ?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but YA NEED A PLACE (I say) otherwise you could live in the same imaginary place that DVD Shrink works in and you'd just need a car to go to work in and think of all the "rent money" you would save - lol

I love ya kid, think about it and you'll see :D
