imation discs

    I used imation 8x dvd+r disc for my backup ps2 games in the past, but here lately, every disc so far won't play in ps2, but old copies will. What is the difference in then and now? I still burn the same way, the same speed(1x). Someone please help.

    Imation media sucks! Plain and simple. Use better media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

    i had some imation cd's and they were CRAP!!! wrap them up for xmas and give to someone who you don't like!!

    I love verbatim, maxell (TY's)and fuji, but I can't say that I have ever had a problem with Imations (DVD-R 4x).

    They play and have few errors. (I never go to the edge on any of my discs)

    Maybe thats why I have few problems.

    For cheap money I will buy them.

    I've never had any problems with Imation DVDs ... wait .. that's right! .. I've never used Imation DVDs ...

    Seriously though .. probably the reason that you used to have success with the Imation 8x discs is that they use 4 different manufacturers for their +R 8x discs ..
    CMC MAG.E01 (trash D- quality)
    MBIPG101R04 (?????)
    PRODISC.R03 (crapola C-)
    RICOHJPNR02 (best of the bunch B+)

    Hi..

    No these are DVD-R 4x discs. Some are CMC Mag and some are MCC.
    Both work great. I have not had a coaster yet.
