First, I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to post this, if it's not I'm sorry, please move it to the right location. Second, I'm not exactly sure what's not going right here, but I'll try to explain it. I looked around a bit, but I didn't see anything that covered this issue. I have an .img file and I cannot figure out what to do to extract it. This is an ancient PC game (Draken - Order Of The Flame) and I've got an old .img of it. I have tried PowerISO, MagicISO, Nero, Alcohol 120 Pro, and Deamon Tools Pro, and I still can't get at the files inside this .img. I try to convert it to an .iso, and then the contents of the .iso are an .IMG FILE! I am left baffled. I don't need to burn it, I just need to get at the files so I can install it. Any help would, as always be greatly appreciated.
hmm thats strange, almost any of those apps you named shoulda been able to open an .img. I know for a fact WinRAR will once you set it to recognize .img files. you mentioned using DaemonTools Pro, didja try mounting the .img? DTP doesnt see .img by default you need to tell it to look for and open .imgs. ANd even than, DTP only mounts the disc , you'll still need to either use My Computer {goto whichever drive DTP created} and you should be able to access the contents of the img. IF that doesnt work, try WinRAR
