img. still too large

    i recently bought a 5 hour compulation dvd and was trying to backit up i started with dvdfab the vtsfix when i got too shrink file still too big tried reauthor still too big tried movie only still too big tried to use dvd id and i get a error mess. unsupported medium detected. any ideas

    Shrink the output files again. Putting 5 hrs on one disc will not yeild great results.

    actually the dvd is 3hours and 20mins long but the main movie 4701mb only way i get it to fit is to get rid of the only audio file which is 2ch lpcm and i cant get to shrink it cause it says its too big to encode

    If your main movie is only 4701mb, Shrink should not have any problems with that.

    Are you trying to autoburn? If so what media are you using?

    i cant get that far when i open the folder with shrink the main movie is 6681mb when i click back it says its too big and wont fit on dvd5 disc

    Have you tried using the trial version of either dvdfab gold or dvdfab platinum? They can automatically shrink the files down to dvd5 compliance. If you use the 'customize' tab, you can even take out the parts you don't want.
