I have read all the guides and got all the software (Img classic, DVD Shrink, and ImgBurn)and everything works fine until I try to play the movie. It is so slow it just skips around. I am using my DVD R/RW drive on my laptop and using DVD-R discs. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks
Hi Are you playing it back in WMP or a stand-alone drive? From what I have read today I suspect a possible culprit could be the actal media you are using, how slow and how frequent are teh skips? I don't necessarily know the answers but these are likely questions someone with proper knowledge will want answering to be able to help productively. best of luck
At £2 a disc it seems plain wrong to me that some media are so unpredictable, I guess I will have to buy some on-line as the only media I can get locally are Ritek and they seem to be giving me problems also
I recall seeing a post stating buy Sony Dvd - rs made in Japen. They suggest only them and not others make sony disks there is like 3 to others make these so we all know Japen makes good product.I hope this helps yea with your problem nothing worse than seeing picture not looking good.
@ redcit, Are those Maxell, made in Japan, if so they are very good, but if they are made in Taiwan, not so good, Any media made in Japan are very good, and the only exception too that is Verbatims, which is the only brand that is made in Taiwan that are very good. try using better media to see if that helps. Also u can try and lower the burn speed on those maxells to see if that helps best bet is half of what the max speed says on the package.
I think it says they are made in China. I also tried to lower the write speed, I went as low as 2x and no luck. The problem isn't with DVD shrink, because when I play back before burning everything looks/works good. It has to be with ImgBurn. Thanks for your help, I guess I'll eventually figure it out.
Actually the problem is the media, try Verbatims, Sony(MIJ), Maxell(MIJ), Fuji(MIJ) MIJ=Made in Japan for better results. Also u might want to check if ur firmware needs updating, that might help the problem with the current media u r using.
