I have downloaded multiple games from torrents, they come in as .r00 files. I am using winrar to create the .iso file. I am then using ImgBurn to create the backup game. Whenever I go to burn, I keep getting the error: Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity Reason: Power Calibration Area Error Can anyone tell me what is going on here? It seems like this is such an easy process, but I've used 3 or 4 different programs, such as CloneCD, ImgBurn, Nero, etc and none of them can burn this .iso. Am I creating the .iso incorrectly? I should be loading all the .r00 files correct?
Sorry, when I load the files into winrar, only one file shows up to load, even though there are 30 or more .r00 files. Once winrar is done it's typically a 7 gig or bigger .iso Does this sound correct? Basically I have no idea where I'm going wrong. Thanks a lot!
why do people have to split files all the time makes noobs confused all the time and its so hard to explain o well winrar joins the .r00 .r01 .r02 ....... for you all you have to do is make sure there all in the same folder and then open one of them you should find you files inside the rar and then just extract it and it will join it for you its just a split file and your joining them all up with winrar so it can be read
People split the files so they can be downloaded faster over torrents and the like.. It's faster to drag 50 files down in a distributed packet system than only one huge one.. problem solved.. Your error relates to rubbish disks.. plain and simple.. power calibration error happens when your dvd burner can't identify or see the disk, or it is only a single layer burner... You could try updating the firmware, but better disks are a must. If you can afford verbatim (singapore) they will give you the best results and longest 360 laser life.. otherwise Ritek seem to work fine.. but only Ritek branded.. no ridata/ridisk B's
All the files are in one folder, so I know it's being properly joined. I just wanted to make sure I was doing that correctly. I'm going to attempt to update my firmware and see if that works, if not, I guess I'll have to buy more disks. I'm already using DL, so I guess I possibly bought some shitty ones? Sorry I'm "noob" to this, but you have to start somewhere. Thanks for the responses.
Well I updated my firmware to the latest available. When I used to get the error, ImgBurn would try to work for about 5-7 minutes, then produce the error. After the firmware update, it now produces an error the instant I hit the "write" button. The error now states: Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity! Reason: Invalid Field in CDB Is this still a media problem? Before I go buy a pack of Vebatim DL I wanted to make sure. Is there any possibility it's the drive? I'm using a Lite-On SHW-160P6S from newegg.com
If anyone could answer my last question, I think I'd finally be on the right track with this. Sorry if I'm a pain in the ass, but I'm trying to grasp this whole idea! Never burned anything that was this detailed and specific. Thanks a lot for the help!!!
