I have seen that several people are unable to unlock their phones when using your instructions. I THINK I know the answer. The instructions I received - and have seen in other requests - does NOT instruct the person to enter the last (+) before pressing the final single figure. It just says: " enter the digits between each (+) Press last digit......" I think it must be made clear that the second (+) has got to be entered BEFORE pressing the last digit. I hope this is useful and may help others.
Ok the words "BETWEEN" & "EACH" should be comprehended. Between each + #pw+488207705614512+7# <--I see 2 (+) signs in this code and all codes. I'll change the signature so that it can't be blamed on me for someone not simply reading a few lines and understanding. 99% of the time if someone here can't unlock a phone here, it because it is a 6101, 6102 or they have already hardlocked the phone before coming here.
Not quite, sounds now as if you end with the 2nd (#) but actually it ends with a last single digit....then, of course, the final (#). Perhaps you could say: CODE HAS TO BE ENTERED JUST AS YOU SEE IT ABOVE INCLUDING BOTH #. AFTER ENTERING THE FINAL DIGIT, PRESS # AGAIN AND YOU'LL SEE THE UNLOCKED MESSAGE APPEAR BRIEFLY ON YOUR SCREEN. Something like that. Glad to assist.
I have been using this type of signature for 3 years and everyone seems to understand how to unlock their phone. I explain how to get the p, w, + and let the person know the code starts and ends with the # sign.
I agree. Most people seem to get it right. Most people don't even understand what "Enter code" means. There are a few people that will screw up. There are people that do not understand what happenes when they mess with the phone and come to us when it is too late. They read nothing and then are surprised when you tell them they only have 3 to 5 chances. We would have to write a "BOOK" in order to cater for every one. I'm working on it. We do not have the capasity in our sigs to allow detailed instructions. Just a thought. Joe
Good luck with the book Joe and I also agree, I can't have a dictionary signature. I think what I have is more than what most offer.
