    Hi,

    As you probably can see i am obsesed with these 2 peices of great software, but i have to warn you, and i don't want to sound anti-captalist, Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Meaning, it you have no trouble what so ever backingup what you need to backup there is no reason to take teh risk of upgrade, which could cause errors sometiems fatal. So unless you run into a dvd that you can do, then upgrade.

    Goodluck,
    j

    Just installed Anydvd (5.9.1.1) No problems as of yet.
    I Use dvd shrink for the compress and burn myself.
    No need for Clonedvd here But Anydvd is working great along side DVD shrink.
    Also this verson of anydvd has a built in ripper for tough to copy DVD's.
    Well worth the update on this one.

    Never had probs with AnyDvd or CloneDvd2 on my system, I certainly would not recommend not updating either!

    @jpblev
    Those were on dvd's you bought from netflix right? Copying rentals is a illegal and also against forum rules.
    If you are backing up your owned dvd's - your problem may be with the media you are using and burning at max speed.

    Yeah, I'd be careful of copying those pesky NetFlix DVD's, you know that each one of them has a unique serial number keyed into the disk so that if the disk is ever separated from it's mailer, the folks at Netflix will know whose account to credit when the Post Office brings it back to them again. When you copy one you also copy the serial number. so your copy can be traced back to Net Flix, and if they have enough different serial numbers, they can trace it back to one account and figure out who Agent Smith will visit come Monday morning. Please get his autograph for me will you?

    @blivetNC:

    Sorry mate, but everything you said in your post is complete BS. Or didn't I understand the irony of your post?

    hi,

    lol, there is one problem in your little story: Netflix can't tell Holywood how to make their disks, Hollywood controls netflix and everything else,not the other way. hollywood even controlsthe matrix. and litterally the matirx.

    peace,

    @ BurningAs, my response was to you, NOT the other chap, you recommended not updating, I did the opposite, because I believe that your post was misguiding.

    Please read & digest before pointing the finger....

    @BurningAs
    LOL - no conspiracy I swear!! I didn't edit/alter my post in anyway - I was just giving jpblev the benefit of the doubt since Netflix also sells used DVD's so I asked. But since they totally edited their post I guess I have my answer!!
