    Hello shloger, welcome to afterdawn.

First what you need to do in iTunes is go to [bold]file-->add folder to library.[/bold] Then, select the folder which the videos are in.

Then, to get the movies onto the iPod itself, plug the iPod in. Right click on the iPod and go to iPod options. Then, select "Auto Update" and it will automatically update all songs and videos added and deleted in iTunes every time you plug it in. Enjoy!

On your iPod go to [bold]settings--about[/bold]. Then, next to version, it will say either 1.0 or 1.1.

shloger - Have you transcoded the videos into correct iPod format using an appropriate program? If you haven't, have a look at my stickied guide at the top of this forum.. (the guide written by dkmopq is also very good :)
