Improved IR remote control's operating angle - in 10 sec and for free!

    Just wanted to share this with you in case you have similar issues, this forum seemed most appropriate.

    I had a set-top box that was really (way too) picky, it accepted infrared remote control commands only from a few angles. Have been trying to improve this by replacing IR remote control with a universal RC - to no avail.

    Now I had my Eureka moment - this must be the fastest, cheapest do-it-yourself project ever. It took 10 seconds and a piece of tape, check it out.

    Hey, cool tip. Thanks, man.

    Like the guy in the article said, it's a really smart solution, but it does make you feel like, "Hey, why didn't I think of that?" :)
